Congratulations to Australian Scott Milne, ESM who was the successful candidate in the recent Vice Presidential election.

Mr Milne, is currently Response Manager (Emergency Management and Response Coordination) Emergency Response Division of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

Scott’s term as Vice President will conclude at the 2011 AGM.

Assist with the rapid progress of the Oceania Council, the following limited opportunities are now available for a two year tenure.

On behalf of the Oceania Executive, I have pleasure in advising that the Second Annual General Meeting of The International Association of Emergency Managers — Oceania Council (International Association of Emergency Managers—Oceania Incorporated) will be jointly held at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch and the Metropolitan Fire Brigade Burnley Complex, Melbourne.

On Tuesday, 4th August 2009 at 8:00pm Christchurch time and 6:00pm Melbourne time.

The membership subcommittee assists with the strategic direction of membership as it relates to the Oceania Council. As the largest Council outside of the USA, it is important to ensure membership is tailored to suit the needs of local members.
