Oceania's First Student Chapter

Students from the University of Canterbury Natural Hazards Research Centre and related departments have formed a provisional chapter of the IAEM. The students and their faculty advisor, Tim Davies, are now working through the requirements to gain formal recognition as a IEMSA Chapter. Kristin Hoskin is assisting them. There are currently 16 formal chapters and 5 with provisional status. Canterbury is the second student chapter outside of North America and the first in the Southern Hemisphere. Oceania would like to encourage more universities to establish student chapters.
