Profile:
Darryl Dixon spent seven years in the NSW Police. During this time, he was involved in a number of high-profile events, including the Sydney Olympics / Paralympics and a member of a multi agency covert operation to tackle police corruption and organised crime for which he received a Commissioners Citation. He has served on the personal staff of many Police Executives including the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners of Police.
He holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Emergency Management from Charles Sturt University and is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism as well as a Masters Degree in International Security Studies from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Central Queensland University.
Academic and operational interests include psychological effects of persons during and after incidents, effective planning and prevention methodology and contributed articles to the Australian Journal of Emergency Management on such issues.
Darryl has been bestowed numerous awards from St John Ambulance Australia, NSW Police and the Royal Life Saving Society as well as receiving commendations from Members of Parliament (State and Federal) and the Australia Day Council for community service work and is a Justice of the Peace in NSW.
Dedicated to new age philosophies, is committed to meditation, lecturing in motivation, self-development and empowerment working alongside some of the world’s leading new age authors and is currently writing his first book in this field. SCUBA Diving, gardening and walking his two Siberian Huskies are some of his hobbies.
