Profile:
Frederico has a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (2003) from the Catholic University of Goiás (Brazil) and a Master's Degree in Transportation from the University of Brasília (Brazil). His masters’ project was focused on dynamically modelling car accidents’ severity as a function of numerous variables such as road geometry, weather and pavement conditions, drivers’ age etc. After completing his masters’ course he has worked as a consultant in the Human Resources Formation Centre on Transportation (CEFTRU) for projects with the Brazilian Federal Government and as a construction manager.

Currently, he is part of the Resilient Organisations Research Programme as a PhD Student. His research focuses on developing a Decision Support System (namely Dynamic Response Recovery Tool) to support decision making activities during extreme events in New Zealand.

Frederico has also a great interest on assessing how Information Technologies can efficiently support emergency management activities and how it could play a role in complex response and recovery scenarios commonly observed during real events.
