To: All IAEM Oceania Members
From: Secretary, IAEM Oceania
Subject: Prerequisite Membership for National Representative Positions.
Dear Colleagues,
As you have been advised, IAEM Oceania is currently seeking an Australian and New Zealand Representatives, much confusion has arisen as to required membership status in order to be nominated to these important positions.
As per the Vice Presidents comments “The role of National Representative is an important one. It entails providing reports to the Oceania Board of activity within the membership of that country, promotion of membership, assisting with membership enquiries and liaising with Oceania committees”.
Therefore the Executive of IAEM Oceania has clarified the term of membership required for nominees to be as follows:
Whilst the three years financial membership as a member of good standing with IAEM is desirable as determined by members in the inaugural elections, the time requirement is assessed at 2 years for the election of the national representatives for this election only.
This will ensure those elected have competent understanding of IAEM and the newly created IAEM Oceania. Please ensure all nominations clearly state their term of membership in the nomination package.
Nominations will close COB AEST 6th July 2007 and to be forwarded to secretary@oceania-iaem.com.
Yours
