The IAEM Bulletin is published monthly by the International Association of Emergency Managers to keep members abreast of association news, issues affecting emergency management, and research and information sources. The publication is also intended to serve as a way for emergency management colleagues to exchange information on programs and ideas. The print edition is 16-24 pages, plus there is an extended online edition of up to 40 pages.

Special Focus Issues

At least four times a year, the IAEM Bulletin includes a Special Focus section on a selected topic of interest to emergency managers.

May 2008 (copy deadline 2008-04-10) EM Higher Education in the Future
We are interested in articles about the kinds of curriculum needed in EM, homeland security and business continuity higher educational programs. From the private sector, we want to know what kinds of EM knowledge and skills employers expect from graduates of an EM, homeland security or business continuity higher education program.
July 2008 (copy deadline 2008-05-10) Allied Organisations
We are interested in articles from organizations that are partners/affiliates with IAEM, telling about the work of their organisations and why it is important to emergency managers. We are looking for as many articles from partners/affiliates as we can acquire, with the idea of posting an extra-large online edition/publication with all articles of interest as an IAEM member resource.
October 2008 (copy deadline 2008-09-10) Putting a New Spin on Emergency Management
The theme for the October 2008 special focus issue matches the theme of the IAEM 56th Annual Conference & EMEX 2008. Extra copies of this issue will be handed out with the conference registration packets.
