Description
The Nelson Tasman Civil Defence Emergency Management Group (CDEM) is looking for a motivated and skilled team member to tackle the role of Emergency Management Officer. This is a community focussed role which will help achieve the vision of ‘Resilient Nelson & Tasman Communities’. This is a meaty role for a communicator who can see themselves working with the CDEM Coordinating Executive Group to achieve its objectives, targets and actions.
You will need to be at home in many situations: from writing plans and reports to, supporting the Emergency Response team, advice on welfare planning and educating the public. From organising, cajoling and motivating groups to, if it comes to it, being a key part of an Emergency Operation Centre.
This is an ongoing, full time position to achieve the objectives of the Nelson – Tasman Civil Defence Emergency Management Plan 2005.
